Adventurous Valley of Fire Elopement by Helicopter

Adventurous Valley of Fire Elopement by Helicopter | Hailey & Ashton

Hailey and Ashton traveled all the way from St. John’s Newfoundland to the Nevada desert, where they decided to have a Valley of Fire elopement! After planning a friends/graduation trip to Las Vegas, they were inspired by the beauty and thought the landscape would be the perfect backdrop for their intimate day. The multi-day helicopter elopement was SO amazing!! Not only did this adventure speak straight to our souls but H & A were so easy going. It instantly felt like we had known each other our entire lives. Capturing their love against the stunning desert landscape was truly magical, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved. Come take a look at what your day could look like if you decided to ditch the traditional wedding too!

Elopement Itinerary

We met up with the couple as they were getting ready at their hotel on the strip, The Linq. They jammed to their favorite music and enjoyed some drinks as they helped each other get ready. Hailey had a small first look with her friends and then we headed to the limo that took us to the helicopter! Excitement was flowing through us all as we waited to board!! Continuing this once-in-a-lifetime journey to the Valley of Fire for their private ceremony.

Landing in the Valley of Fire

After 40 minutes and a tour from the sky, we were landing in a spot only accessible by helicopter in the Valley of Fire! It was so private and peaceful and there was NO ONE around!! Surrounded by mountain goats and the breathtaking landscape, they exchanged their vows. After the ceremony, they Facetimed their families to tell them they just got married! I loved that they were able to include them on the occasion even though they weren’t physically there. Champagne, cake, views, and golden hour sunset photos followed before we headed back to Las Vegas.

Celebrating on The Strip

We took the helicopter back and flew over the Strip and it was so beautiful seeing all the lights and neon signs from the air! Once we got to the hotel we all changed, met up with their friends, and went out to dinner in front of the Bellagio hotel so we could see the water show in the background. After dinner, we celebrated on the Las Vegas Strip, took some quick shooters from Walgreens, and then ended the night at the Linq on the HUGE Ferris wheel.

Day Two

About 3 hours before sunset we all drove back out to the Valley of Fire for more photos! We found the perfect spot and hiked all the way to the top of these rocks that overlooked the windy road through the red rocks. We took photos until the sun went down and even got some sweet blue hour shots! Once it was dark we headed back to the hotel and got ready for the rest of the night. First we went to the Flamingo for some fun Vegas styled flash photos. Then H & A popped a bottle of champagne on the Strip and people celebrated with them as they walked by!!

Everything that happened those days was truly amazing

I am still obsessed with the idea that they chose to spend the money they had on an adventure wedding rather than a traditional wedding. Even though she was going through pharmacy school which is really expensive they didn’t let that stop them from having an incredible experience!

Here’s to a lifetime of love, happiness, and many more amazing adventures for Hailey and Ashton!
