West Fork Trail in Oak Creek Canyon is the spot for you. It’s one of Sedona’s most stunning locations, offering that perfect mix of woodsy charm and classic red rock beauty—basically, any outdoorsy couples dream! Take a look at Brianna and Robert’s West Fork Trail engagement photos for inspo!
West Fork Trail has everything: massive canyon walls, a flowing creek, vibrant greenery, and even a few old ruins that add a touch of history and adventure to your photos. The trail itself is easy to moderate, meaning we can explore without breaking too much of a sweat. You’ll get a mix of cozy, intimate creekside shots, epic red rock backdrops, and sun-dappled forest moments all in one session.
If you want that soft, golden-hour glow without the crowds, I highly recommend a weekday session. West Fork is incredibly popular, and on weekends, the parking lot often fills up early—once it’s full, they turn cars away.
The trail itself is about 3.5 miles one way, but don’t worry—we won’t be hiking the whole thing! We’ll pick the best spots within the first mile or so, where you’ll get a variety of landscapes without a long trek. There are several water crossings, so wearing sturdy shoes (or being okay with a little splashing) is a good idea.
West Fork Trail is truly one of the best locations for adventurous couples who love nature and want engagement photos that feel effortless, romantic, and full of life. If you’re looking for a photographer who knows the ins and outs of this stunning spot (and how to avoid the crowds), I’d love to capture your love story here. Let’s start planning your dream session!
