Sydnee and Max had such a dreamy and romantic wedding day last April. I’ve known these two for quite some time now (4 years!) and I cannot even begin to describe how freakin PERFECT they are for each other! From the moment I met them, I knew they had something special. Their love is electric! I was so stoked when they reached out to me about their wedding, because I knew it was coming at one point or another! Sydnee and Maxx truly are some of my best friends, and I’m so incredibly thankful that I was able to capture their wedding day. I can’t wait for more and more milestones with these two!
Sydnee and Maxx chose the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix Arizona. Let me tell you.. this venue BLEW me away. This resort had it all, and it was so perfect for their day. In Arizona, often times people find themselves taking advantage of the desert for their outdoor wedding days. However what I love about this venue, is that its so different from the scenery you typically see in Arizona! Don’t get me wrong, I love nothing more than vast deserts and palm trees. However, it was nice to switch it up and surround ourselves with such incredible greenery! Every corner of this massive venue was decked out in gorgeous, green trees and vines.
When I asked Sydnee what made her choose this venue, her answer made perfect sense. Sydnee told me that the ceremony space was exactly what she envisioned for her wedding! The trellis behind them was absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect combination of simplicity and elegance. She also loved the reception space, and that there was tons of room for games and a sprawling dance floor. And believe me, they used every last inch of that dance floor! If you’re looking for a venue in Arizona that looks a bit different than palm trees and cactuses, you’ve got to check this one out!
Sydnee and Max were going for a romantic, classy and elegant vibe for their day. Their both pretty simple, and wanted something that felt authentic to them. Not too flashy, but clean and elegant. Let me tell you.. they KILLED it. They stuck with a breathtaking color scheme of light, dusty blues and silvers. Sydnee’s gown was freakin breathtaking, and she was literally glowing. It felt so dreamy and romantic with the beaded lace details, while remaining classy and elegant which is definitely her style.
These two lovers had such a special first look, that really made an impact on me. First of all, Maxx’s reaction was priceless. I love first looks because it’s such a special moment for you and your partner to come together, and breathe. Your wedding is SUCH an exciting day, however sometimes it can feel weird to spend the morning separated. First looks are so special to me, and I love that my job allows me to peak in on such an incredible moment for my couples. Sydnee and Maxx chose to read their vows during their first look, and it was perfect! They took advantage of the opportunity to be together, without the pressure of all their guests eyes on them.
Their reception space was gorgeous! I loved how open and spacious it was, and how everyone had tons of room to move around. Sydnee and Maxx are both super close with their parents, and their first dances may have made me tear up just a little bit. As the sun set, the dance floor was lit up by string lights and it was so romantic! S + M also rented out a photo bus for their reception, which is always a good time.
These two sung, danced and drank the night away with their favorite people. Like I said before, I’ve known these two for a long time now. I had SO much fun finally capturing them as husband and wife. I’m so grateful for this job, and the amazing couples I meet along the way who become so special to me! I cannot wait for more and more memories with these two!
