Jamie and Todd got married at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center (WHOO, what a name) in Phoenix, Arizona In April, 2019…PERFECT AZ WEATHER!! The Audubon Center wedding venue has both the combination of an industrial feel, mixed with Arizona’s desert scenery, it was very unique and so picturesque. Jamie and Todd were going for a romantic, elegant, and chill wedding. Their colors were neutrals, blush and navy, with a pop of bright pink. There were lots of wood touches tying both the desert and industrial vibes together perfectly. Jamie also really wanted there to be tons of candles to add to the romance and overall aesthetics. This was my first time shooting here and I absolutely loved it. I think it’s a good medium for those that want a mix of industrial and desert scenery.
Jamie and Todd did a first look, which is easily my favorite part of a wedding. It’s so intimate and raw with just the bride, groom and their love. When Jamie saw Todd for the first time that day it was SO cute, she threw her arms out wide in a, “LOOK AT ME”/ “HUG ME BABY”, action. It was so precious to see both of their reactions and you could tell how in love they are just by their body language. GOALSSSS!
Jamie and Todd are one of the most beautiful couples I have photographed. They looked so natural and beautiful together. Jamie’s dress also had me shakin’ in my boots!!! Her dress fit her like a glove, and she looked STUNNING. Jamie had on a very simple, yet dramatic necklace. It looked like a choker in the front, but when you looked at the back it traveled all the way down her open back. HOTTT. Needless to say, Jamie = epitome of beauty.
I often ask my couples what drew them to my work. Jamie and Todd both agreed, along with majority of my couples that they don’t want the super posed and unnatural pictures, they love how candid I capture people. I want my couples to feel at ease with me and to be themselves. After that, it’s easy to get those un-posed, natural moments with you and your boo thaaang. Jamie said to me, “Your photos make me excited, they make me want to display them everywhere (even if they are of people I don’t know! haha)”. Well now you don’t have to have randos around your house, Jamie LOL.
