A Redwood Forest Wedding Fairytale

In the heart of California’s wilderness, there’s a place with towering giants where nature’s beauty can leave even the wildest dreamers spellbound. This place is the Redwood Forest, and it was the setting for a magical wedding celebration for Scott and Taylor. The Magical Venue

The location was an absolute paradise! Waterfall Lodge and Retreat in the Santa Cruz Redwoods felt like something out of a storybook. A place where my wildest photography dreams came true. The towering Redwoods stood like ancient giants, their canopies filtering the soft, dappled sunlight onto the forest floor. I was so in awe of the sheer beauty that I had to pause for a moment to take it all in. Every frame I captured felt like a work of art; It felt like nature itself had crafted the perfect setting for Scott and Taylor’s love story. Being a part of their magical day was an absolute dream come true, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate.

Wedding Day Itinerary  

While I spent most of the morning with the bride, my second shooter captured the groom getting ready. I loved how relaxed the bride was! She sipped mimosas and danced with her bridesmaids in their cabin as they prepared for the day. It was such good vibes! Once everyone had their hair and makeup done, we headed outside to snap some cute photos with everyone in their matching robes before they got dressed. Then Taylor shared a first look with her dad, and their emotional reactions were truly precious. After that touching moment, we headed behind the ceremony site for the first look between Taylor and Scott, and the tears started flowing immediately. The ceremony itself was equally emotional, with hardly a dry eye in the audience!

Let the Good Times Roll

Seeing Scott and Taylor so relaxed and carefree on their big day was a real treat. They picked a venue they both adored, and the fact that it accommodated all their friends and family on-site made it even more enjoyable. It was a fantastic experience to see everyone come together, let their hair down, and have a blast!
