Brittany + Shane had their wedding at the Windmill Winery in Florence, Arizona. They both got ready in separate suits so they did not see each other before the ceremony. The brides suit was the most beautiful blue color and had so much natural light flowing in. The grooms suit was in a very rustic looking cabin. They both got ready separately but were still able to help their sons get ready between.
When I first saw Brittany’s dress I was BLOWN AWAY! It could not have fit her any more perfect. She originally wanted something more simple so during the reception she changed into a different dress so she could be more comfortable. Their wedding had so many unique and classic touches. I was obsessed with all of the pops of gold like her golden hairpiece and all of the handmade name cards on gems. The florals that they chose for their wedding was the perfect mix of elegant and timeless.
For their ceremony they chose to have it at the Lake House which is a very large dock overlooking the lake. When Shane first saw Brittany walking down the aisle his tears started flowing. It was such a gorgeous first look at his future wife. It was a very emotional ceremony. One of my favorite moments was when Shane kneeled down and told Brittanys sons his promise to them as their new step father. They also included a very unique knot tying ceremony to make things official.
Once they said “I DO!” all of their guests headed to cocktail hour where they had the cutest donkey bringing everyone beer! It is one of my favorite things that this venue does! Of course we had to steal the beer burro away to take some photos with the bride and the groom. During that time he kept trying to eat the brides bouquet and it was the cutest thing ever! For their bride and groom photos we decided to explore a little more of the venue. Since they were the only ones having a ceremony that day all of the other ceremony locations were open. We ended up walking over to where they have another ceremony site and found the perfect quiet grass area surrounded by trees. They were able to share a few moments with each other and let it really sink in that they were married. The sun was perfectly shining through and created gorgeous lighting for all of the images.
They kept their reception very casual. They had a few toasts with close friends, their first dance and some open dancing. Later in the night they even opened up a bond fire, which the kids loved! During a point Brittany took one of her sons out by their ceremony site which was lit up by string lights and danced. It was very peaceful and quiet.
I had so much fun capturing Brittany + Shanes wedding at the Windmill winery. This is one of absolute favorite venues because there is so much variety. You can get photos by the water, lush greenery and a rustic barn! Wishing them so much happiness!
