I have been counting down the days until I got to capture Summer + Andrew for their superstition mountains engagement session. They wanted to be surrounded by desert and I knew the perfect place, Lost Dutchman’s State Park in Apache Junction. This is one of my favorite areas to go because it has the most beautiful view of the superstition mountains and also you are in the heart of the desert. Normally Arizona has a TON of sunshine but they had their session captured during monsoon season so they had no sun in sight and it was crazy cloudy (my favorite weather).
Their Story: “Andrew and I meet my first day of freshman year, his junior year. Andrew and I were friends of a while but then he asked me to prom and we have been together ever since.
The proposal was perfection! I waited 10 longgggggg years to finally marry the man of my dreams and he made the proposal so special. We spent 4 days in NYC for our 10 year anniversary. We went to museums, ate at fabulous restaurants, went sightseeing, we even went on a helicopter ride over NYC! We ending the trip with a carriage ride in Central Park and Andrew proposed! He had everything planned out, he had a secret photographer and the carriage driver videoed it. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. I was in shock!”
I was blown away that these two have been together for 10+ years and they are more in love than ever. I had so much fun capturing their engagement session and I cannot wait to capture their wedding this Fall!
