Industrial Wedding at the Ice House

If you are looking for a downtown Phoenix venue, the Ice House is a great option for your wedding. It is an industrial wedding venue that can easily be customized to fit your wedding day vision.

Mackenzie and Martin had a romantic, blush and grey color scheme with bohemian touches at their Ice House wedding. They incorporated pampas grass, bohemian area rugs and brass into the venue and it was seriously so pretty!

The inside of the Ice House wedding venue is probably the most industrial looking, with the brick walls and steel garage doors. I love how these two softened that look with neutral table runners, eucalyptus and tapered candles in brass candle holders. It definitely gave the area a romantic feel like they had intended.

One of my favorite aspects of Mackenzie and Martin’s wedding was the first look with Mackenzie’s father. Prior to their wedding day, Mackenzie had a piece of her father’s work shirt sewn into her dress. He had already started crying when he saw how beautiful she was, but when she revealed that thoughtful detail, they were both crying. After the first look with her father, Mackenzie and Martin shared a private moment on the outside of the Icehouse building and it was precious. Mackenzie was in a beautiful long sleeve lace wedding dress that dropped at the waist. I love wedding dresses that have lots of material for fun “dress drama” shots after the ceremony! We definitely took advantage later.

The Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was extraordinary, with the area being the perfect combination of bohemian and industrial for a wedding. Area rugs lined the aisle and at the end there was a giant wooden arbor decorated in silks, greenery and white flowers. Vintage tea-light candle holders lined the walkway with dainty greenery.

After the ceremony, I whisked Mackenzie and Martin away to take photos of just the two of them and while we got many in and around the Ice House, we also explored the downtown phoenix area for some epic shots. Because Martin had a floral tie I couldn’t help but get a photo of him holding Mackenzie’s bouquet which matched perfectly. The rest of the night was full of happy tears, laughter, tons of pictures, dancing and delicious food. Thank you to the two newlyweds for choosing me to photograph their adventure!
