Kailey + Tanner decided to have an intimate elopement at Yavapai Point at the Grand Canyon National Park. I was so excited to meet these two in person after about a month of messaging each other on instagram! They originally had plans to elope in Ireland until they found out they were expecting! I was so obsessed when I saw Kailey’s wedding dress. I thought it was so unique with the fringe on the sleeves and the wind caught them perfectly to add some movement to the photos.
I have lived in Arizona almost my entire life and this was my very first session at the Grand Canyon and man it did not disappoint. We were able to get every stage of light. The Grand Canyon had the most amazing sunset! I was even able to get some really cool silhouette photos with the fringe on the wedding dress. Once the sun set ALL of the stars started to make an appearance. This was my very first time ever attempting night photography and I was so in love with how It turned out. It couldn’t have been a better place to practice. The only light for miles were from the stars.
If you two are thinking about getting married at the Grand Canyon. DO IT!! The first time you see it in person it almost doesn’t even look real, its overwhelming. One thing that you do need before you elope is a permit. So make sure to apply for one of those well before your wedding date so that you have some time for it to get approved.
