Morgan and Logan decided to have their engagement session at one of my favorite desert locations with the most epic mountain backdrop, Peralta Trail in Apache Junction. To get to this location its important that you have 4-wheel drive because it is on a long 30 minute rocky dirt road. When it is monsoon season here there are also a lot of areas along the road that turn into rivers! Thankfully it was not monsoon season yet so the drive was pretty easy. We met up in a school parking lot and they hopped in my car so we could head to the location!
They originally reached out to me about shooting their wedding & I was SO BUMMED that I was already booked for their date. Thankfully they still wanted to have me shoot their engagement session and it was pure MAGIC! They have been together for around 3 years and I could tell they have such a strong relationship! In their inquiry they mentioned how they had to do a lot of long distance due to Logan’s job! In their questionnaire that I send out I asked them what their favorite drink was and they said MILLER LIGHT! I brought some for them but they had already come prepared with a pack of it. Of course we had to bust them out during the session and it was so much fun!
“We met at ASU through mutual friends on the baseball team. He definitely made the first move, but I was not mad at it haha. The engagement was one of the best, most surprising moments of my life so far. He was on a work trip in Seattle and offered to fly me there for the weekend. We did all of the tourist things, walked around to all of the amazingly beautiful places we could find from Pinterest, ate all the food, drank it was amazing. With that being said, I had this weird feeling that he was going to propose but every time it seemed perfect, it didn’t happen. So finally on the last night there, I had convinced myself it just wasn’t the time but little did I know he had been carrying the ring around in his boot the whole weekend! We ended up talking about getting engaged and when the perfect time and place would be when he said “I don’t want to wait any longer!” In the hotel room that had the most beautiful view of the Seattle Skyline he asked me to marry him! I was panicking and in shock I think I asked him “Are you sure?!” After that it pretty much was a blur, but in the best way possible. I wouldn’t have changed it for anything.”
I had so much fun with these two and I am so excited to see their photos from their wedding day!
