Intimate Cloth and Flame Wedding in the Superstition Mountains

Intimate Cloth and Flame Wedding in the Superstition Mountains

A cloth and flame wedding in the superstition mountains is a dream come true. This intimate wedding styled by their talented team was no exception. Erinleigh and Andrew had a beautiful desert wedding in the mountains that is too stunning not to share.

When Erinleigh first reached out to me, I instantly connected with her because she talked about her love for their two dogs Ares and Apollo, a german sheperd-husky mix and a border collie-australian sheperd mix. I am a HUGE dog person – I have two dogs, Cleo and Balto and they are my whole world! I also have five cats, two tanks of fish and a rabbit. I am a huge animal person!

Erinleigh and Andrew also have a super sweet love story, having both met in college, separating for work, but feeling that gravitational pull towards each other over the years. They reconnected at a reunion and knew in their hearts they had to be together.

Read their love story here:

My fiancee and I met 8 years ago during our second year of college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. I am originally from Helena, Montana, and he is from Scottsdale, AZ. We quickly became close friends, but we didn’t start dating until about 3 years ago. When we first started dating, we were long distance. I was living in Montana, and he was in Phoenix. After about a year of that, Andrew moved up to Montana to live with me while I am going to medical school to become a doctor. I will have to finish my 4th year of school in Seattle, so we are planning on moving there in February. Andrew proposed December of 2017. We were in Scottsdale visiting his parents for Christmas, and he told me to pack an overnight bag. I knew that he was going to propose that night, but I had no idea what he had planned. After we packed, he told me that we were going to go take the dog on a quick hike before we started our activities. He surprised me and proposed while we were hiking. Later that night, he took me out to dinner and we spent the night at the Phoenician.

They decided to get married in the beautiful superstition mountains, and had a large focus on the beauty of the desert so their colors weren’t too bold or bright. They chose dusty blue, mauve and rose and it was a perfect neutral wedding color scheme. Erinleigh wore a classic white wedding gown from Hayley Paige at Nordstrom’s that made her look straight out of a wedding magazine or runway for brides. Cloth and Flame did an amazing job with designing and wedding planning, and Melissa suggested taking photos at Tela Peralta after the ceremony. Their bride and groom photos after the ceremony went along with the wedding vibe they were going for: surrounded by the superstition mountains, cholla, prickly pear and Arizona’s own saguaros.

Their reception by Cloth and Flame had the perfect, intimate atmosphere. There was a pop up dance floor with bistro lighting, a dessert bar and a cozy seating area for the reception. It was the perfect inspiration for a classic and intimate desert wedding.

Thank you to Erinleigh and Andrew for having me be there, and thank you to all the amazing vendors who brought it to life!
