Aldea Weddings is a family owned and operated business that hosts several venues throughout the Arizona value. The Landmark is just one of many, featuring historical buildings built in the 1920s, both indoor and outdoor ceremony areas and the world’s cutest gazebo just outside for pictures. The venue also offers both a bridal suite and grooms suite with no lack of mirrors or lighting for photos and getting ready. There really is no lack of scenery or options here if you’re planning a wedding. I hope to work on more Aldea Weddings at the Landmark in the future because it is just an incredible spot!
One unique thing about Erika and Jesse is they actually met at their siblings’ wedding. Erika’s sister was marrying Jesse’s brother! What a small world. The two of them joke that it was the universe making history repeat itself that brought them together because you don’t see it that often. Jesse had the sweetest proposal to Erika: He proposed by making a giant canvas with old school light bulbs spelling out “I want to love you forever” and when she turned around he was down on one knee.
Erika and Jesse did an amazing job with the decor their wedding. The decor was eclectic and antique, pairing so well with the vintage feel of the older buildings making up the venue. I loved the centerpieces: loved books sitting on greenery, topped with antique decor like it came right out of a well-loved shop. They chose subtle and elegant colors to match, muted blues, gray and mauves.
The two opted for a blind first look so that they could give each others’ hands a squeeze before the ceremony, but still keep that first-look moment for when Erika walked down the aisle. Their ceremony was indoors in front of a wooden arbor draped in silk. Erika wore an elegant and classy long gown and veil from Grace Style and Bridal, and opted for an updo to match and bring the look together. She was a glowing bride. After the ceremony was over we took advantage of The Landmark’s outdoor area with a lovely white gazebo for pictures.
This wedding seemed right out of a fairytale and I am glad it was everything Erika and Jesse had dreamed of. From the vintage and antique decor, to the timeless color scheme it was a dream come true.
