The excitement for Marissa and Austin’s wedding was sensible. They had booked their date at The Paseo two years ahead of time, and we couldn’t wait for their big day to arrive. We were literally counting down the days until their Arizona Desert wedding.
Originally from Maine, Marissa and Austin instantly fell for The Paseo in Apache Junction, Arizona. They were captivated by how this wedding venue included the essence of the AZ desert landscape. Despite their brief time in Arizona, the Superstition Mountains had already stolen their hearts, making it their favorite mountain range. So, naturally, they wanted their wedding venue to highlight the beauty of this stunning landscape. Without hesitation, The Paseo in Apache Junction checked all the boxes for Marissa and Austin.
Yep, you read that right! Marissa and Austin are known for quite literally taking their dog everywhere with them. So, it was a no brainer to include their sweet pup in their wedding festivities. Because of this, these first look portraits with Marissa’s dog will live rent free in my mind.
Marissa’s first looks with her dad and Austin were incredible heartwarming.
In the heart of Apache Junction, Arizona, is a hidden gem of a wedding venue known as The Paseo. The Paseo has a rustic charm and breathtaking desert surroundings. Because of this, this AZ desert wedding venue offers couples a truly magical setting for their special day.
As you step onto the property, you’re greeted by sweeping views of the Superstition Mountains and the vast Sonoran Desert, creating a picturesque backdrop for wedding festivities. The venue itself includes elegant, yet cozy spaces. From the charming ceremony site with its stunning pergola to the spacious reception hall surrounded with twinkling lights and rustic accents.
Whether you’re envisioning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, The Paseo provides the perfect canvas for bringing your wedding dreams to life. With the serene ambiance and stunning natural beauty, it’s no wonder that The Paseo is a sought-after destination.
The intentional details throughout the wedding was breathtaking. I loved how Marissa and Austin incorporated a rustic color scheme to highlight the beauty of the Arizona desert. Marissa was intentional with her wedding florals by including minimal flowers and incorporating cacti and succulent plants throughout their wedding.
The blend of terracotta and eucalyptus green paired well with the Superstition mountain range and desert beauty.
The large terracotta planters with cacti and succulent plants at the top of the aisle complimented their AZ desert wedding theme so well!
So, in case you didn’t know, it’s not an AZ desert wedding without tacos! From their wedding decor, bridal bouquet, and food selection, they truly encompassed the feeling of an AZ desert wedding. Their southwest style taco station was a hit with their guests, too!
“Kali and Tyler were so amazing to work with from the start. We knew we wanted them as part of our wedding vendor team as photographer and videographer after we first reached out 2 years in advance before our wedding. Our first interaction with Kali we knew she was so bubbly, kind, and very passionate about what she does. She communicated from start to end and was always very responsive. We were both even more excited for her to shoot the wedding day after she made us feel so comfortable during out engagement session. Kali was very professional and helped us create our wedding day timeline, which she helped keep us on schedule.
Our friends and family kept telling us how great they were while they were at the wedding capturing so many moments. Kali sent us some photos already and we are completely OBSESSED with how they turned out. We can’t believe they are just sneak peeks! They are breathtaking as she captured so many intimate moments. So, we couldn’t recommend them enough as wedding photographer/videographer. We would use Kali over and over again as a photographer :)”
