Superstition Mountain Elopement

Kiri and Tanner eloped at the Superstition Mountains surrounded by the desert and their loved ones. They wanted to get married before their baby came & wanted to have a very small and minimalistic elopement.

Their Story:

“We didn’t come into each other’s lives in the most “romantic” way. He found me on Instagram through a mutual acquaintance and after exchanging likes and comments for a few months he finally slid into my DM’s! He asked me out on a date and we both knew really early on that we didn’t want to be without each other. We have been best friends since the beginning and do just about everything together! We love golfing together, so it was only fitting that he would propose while we were golfing. I had just teed off and when I turned around he was down on one knee. It was perfect! We were only halfway through our game of golf and we were both too excited to finish out the rest of the game.”

Their favorite part about their wedding day:

“Our favorite part of the day was being surrounded by the most important people in our lives while we took this huge step in our lives together. Something unique about our day was my dad went through the process to become ordained so he could marry Tanner and I, I knew we wouldn’t have the typical “walking down the aisle” experience and it was very important to me to have my dad involved in our big day! Having him officiate our wedding made our day so much more special!”

 Their inspiration behind their elopement:

“We both agreed that a small, intimate elopement the best option for us. We are both Arizona natives and we wanted to take advantage of the beauty of our home state for our big day. Keeping things as simple and stress free as possible while surrounding ourselves with our closest family and loved ones was our biggest priority!”

 Advice for future brides:

“Reach out to photographers as soon as you set a date!! Good photographers book up quick and if you love someone’s work and can’t imagine anyone else capturing your big day make sure you jump on it to secure your date!”

Thank you so much to Kiri + Tanner for choosing me to capture your elopement. I had an absolute blast getting to know you two and I wish you both the best!!
